Last year, this site helped over 4,000 families and educators solve the many challenges of children and teens who struggle with executive functions related to attention, anxiety, and mood disorders.
An ADHD developmental psychologist, licensed professional counselor, dad, husband, and fellow struggler, Dr. Davenport strives to help families help their children and teenagers develop skills to be successful in the classroom, on the playground, and in life.
Dr. Davenport’s wife says that despite (and because of) his own attention challenges, Monte has more degrees than a thermometer. He humbly responds, “Until about 20 years ago, I really didn’t know what I wanted to be when I grew up. Thanks to the flexible structure (also known as grace) shown me by so many fabulous people, I finally figured it out! ” Since then, Dr. Davenport has been a counselor at the June Shelton School for children with learning and attention disorders, and over the past 13 years, he led the diagnostic team at the Luke Waites Center at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children where he and his colleagues evaluated nearly 1600 children each year. During the past few years, Dr. Davenport has coached and counseled hundreds of families of children struggling with attention and executive functioning challenges.
With much encouragement from his family, colleagues, and clients, Dr. Davenport is now serving families, children, adolescents, and adults who struggle with ADD/ADHD, anxiety, behavior, bipolar, conduct, depression, and mood disorders in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.
