Although attention disorders are not learning disorders, ADD/ADHD can hamper a child or teen’s learning in very specific ways. Researchers at the ADHD Cognition Centre in Toronto have identified a number of learning challenges often associated with ADHD. The good news is they have also identified a number of learning strategies to help students with ADHD.
The good news is there are very specific ways to address the language and learning needs of the child or teen with ADHD: these suggestions are outlined in the next chapter.
